Summer 2025 Recap
Summer 2025 did not disappoint! It was a little stressful since we unexpectedly moved, but everything worked out. I made peace with summer (I’ve pretty much always hated it) and found things that I really like about it. Mostly going to the beach, summer fruits, and the colors of the trees and flowers. I took a couple of trips this summer to Asheville, and visited Tybee Island and Savannah. I also found a walking path in my new neighborhood and went to the botanical gardens. I hit 2 years sober in June, and started bringing my camera with me everywhere. Personally, I studied writing by reading more fiction and writing short stories. I started painting in acrylics again after a very long hiatus. I was an experimental summer for me as I tried new creative hobbies, and leaned more into making surreal art work. I finally got comfortable with making bad art, nothing’s perfect after all. I plan on making more creative discoveries through out the winter and into spring,
I gathered inspiration from nature, cemeteries, graphic novels, and surreal fiction. I’m excited for the future of this art making chapter. I’ve finally hit full “artsy” mode.
Spooky season has finally hit, and I’ll be creating more and more haunting artworks that will be available soon. See you in the winter for my fall review :)
