April Review-so much sun, and sick of my phone :)
I had a pretty productive and creative month! I also spent a lot of time outside, resulting in my first sunburn of the year :) I finished a long illustration project, spent time at the botanical gardens, and started working with instant photography. I’ve also continued my decluttering journey by pretty much getting rid of anything that isn’t books, records, or art supplies. I’ve started paying attention more to my physical media ownership. I’m feel like I appreciate things more when I invest in physical records (two of the bands I love came out with records this month!), and having to PAY for physical photos helps me not have 4000 pics on my phone. I really do have 4000 photos on my phone :(. I’ve started some photography classes online, and carry an instant camera with me where ever I go. I’ve picked up making abstract embroidery out of scraps, and bookbinding to make sketchbooks out of unused paper (and scrap fabric for the covers). It’s been increasingly harder for me to find a balance between analog and digital lives, but I’m doing my best :) Is anyone else sick of their phone?
Top 3 are my favorite albums of the month! LA Witch, Scowl, and Ghost Woman
